Discount Calculator: Sale Price and Double Discounts

Calculate a sale price after one or two successive discounts. Choose a currency for display; the choice does not convert the original amount.

Calculate

Use a decimal point, without thousands separators. Prefilled values are editable examples. Currency selection changes display, not exchange rates.

Enter your values and select Calculate.

Formula and calculation method

Final price = original price × (1 − first discount / 100) × (1 − second discount / 100). Savings = original − final.

Worked example

A price of 100 discounted by 30%, then 10%, becomes 100 × 0.7 × 0.9 = 63. You save 37, an equivalent discount of 37%, not 40%.

Assumptions and limitations

Successive discounts apply to the reduced price. Enter zero for the second discount if none applies. Tax, shipping, vouchers with minimum spends and item-level rounding are not calculated.
