Calculate a tip and divide the bill plus tip equally among a chosen number of people. Enter the bill amount that you intend to use as the tipping base.
Tip = bill × tip rate / 100. Total = bill + tip. Equal share = total / people.
An 80-unit bill with a 10% tip adds 8, for a total of 88. Split four ways, each person pays 22.
Whether to tip before tax, after tax or after excluding an existing service charge depends on the situation. The tool does not choose a socially appropriate rate. Rounded shares can differ from the total by a cent; adjust the final payment.
